Who We Are
The company is established in Mali since March 2008, it operates in the shea butter industry for cosmetic use. Karite Mali specializes in improving the quality of shea butter, sale and export for higher return for its partner groups of rural women in Mali.
With abundant labor force and cheap raw materials provided by the communities through the Union of Producers Cooperative of Shea, SI YIRIWA. The entrerpise fits together within a dynamic of local development to support job creation specifically for rural women in the Sahel Region.

We are also one of the sixteen winners selected by the World Bank from a group of 68 finalists who presented projects that a 24-person jury deemed innovative, sustainable, replicable and based on sound business principles. The sixteen winners currently live in seven European countries: Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
